TEA ANYONE??????

Do ya' all remember "Chuckie"???? Shane used to have a boy doll named "My Buddy". My Buddy looked like Chuckie's twin, right down to the overalls. We had to hide Chuckie, I mean Buddy,in the attic because it scared Shane so much. When he gets married and has his own kids, I think I'll tell him the story of Buddy and Chuckie again and let him decide what to do with him! Jim carved out Chuckie on this pumpkin! I think he did pretty good!

The Mad Hatter Paige style! This dress is made of black velvet with big red glitter spiders and white webs all over it. It is complete with a sweetheart neckline (yes, I said sweatheart neckline for a Halloween costume no less). The bottom skirting is made from an acetate that is a glittery pattern.

Here is the hat to match the dress of course! Who would the mad hatter be without her hat! Let me just say that while it turned out ok, I will NEVER make another one of these hats again! NEVER, EVER! What a pain!!!!! There is the fabric that is cut and sewn on 6 panels, the foam that makes the hat stand up is also cut into 6 panels. The foam then needs to be stitched to the fabric of the hat! OY! I got so many pricks from the pins and the needle that my fingers look like they were ran through the meat grinder. At one point, I started hot glueing the panels of foam to the fabric and almost burnt my index finger off. I ended up with a nasty bubbly blister and then a scab. Yep, it really got burned that time! Anyway, glad that the whole thing is over! She ended up wearing the costume twice; once for a costume party in which she won the best costume title and a prize!!! (Patting myself on the back over that one, thank you) and then she of course wore it on Halloween.

Very cute, in the second photo I could see the webs very well. No wonder she won the costume contest.
