A SCHAAHF & A CUPULA SWETA'S

Did you all notice my "Road Islan" accent in that title???? LOL! I have a tendency to mutilate any words ending in a vowel or an "er". Anyway, this is the white scarf I made from Caron Bliss yarn. I soooo love this yarn because it feels just like Angora.

This is the Baby Bolero from One Skein. I really like this book but don't really like this pattern. It is written for people who take certain parts of the pattern and just know exactly what to do with them! For instance, when I was binding off the back for the neck, I had to put 13 stitches in the middle on a stitch holder. Now, the pattern does not say anywhere, what to do with these 13 stitches. If I were a new knitter, I would be baffled! I trimmed the edge in the Caron Bliss because I just didn't like this yarn (Sirdar Spree) and wanted to be done with the yarn!!! It is a bulky cotton and even with bamboo needles, it split like crazy. I made a really small, cute headband and crocheted a small flower to add to the headband; so sweet! The little booties are in the Bliss also! Notice the open celtic design on the back of the Bolero??!!!!! Cute, huh?

And here is another 5-hour baby sweater. It is basic, plain, Red Heart Super saver. I had some left over from Paiges leg warmers. I still need to make a hat and booties for it!

I can't believe how productive you've been, and you did such lovely goodies! The scarf looks so fluffy and cozy and comfy, no wonder you fell in love with that yarn! And the baby items are very cute, I really adore them! But the pattern doesn't sound like so much fun, I agree with you, even with not really being a knitting-newbie anymore, I prefer patterns that really tell me what to do and when and where and not just stop off someplace. ;)
