THE CAPE

Just about all of my New England friends (and some of my Canadian ones) will know where "the cape" is. The Cape is short for Cape Cod which is about 95 miles East, give or take, from where I live. It is the posh summer playground of the Kennedy family and home to miles and miles of lovely coastline. This is where you go if you live in Rhode Island and want to take a quickey vacation. One of the sights to see is the Kennedy Memorial in Hyannis. This picture was taken there.

Now, I know that I am a bit biased in my opinion but, honestly, this child of mine can NOT take a bad picture. Here, she is on a boat getting wind blown in every direction and once again, she is smiling and as always, she is beautiful! You would NOT want to see me on this same excursion I assure you! This adorable "cottage" sports its own lighthouse! What makes this even more quaint is that the lighthouse is actually a guest cottage!Can you imagine!!!!!! How handy is that??? The price tag is over a million but one can dream can't they?????
One of the great laughs of the day was this tour on an amphibious "duck" boat. If you have never taken a tour on a duck boat, I urge you to enjoy this experience. And if you have children, I recommend you run, not walk, to the nearest tour. Most of the big cities with any amount of shore line have them and they are really a lot of fun! Once you get over the certainty that you are going to sink that is. A remarkable and unforgettable experience! They ride through the streets and then just plunge down into the water at the nearest boat ramp then crawl back up the boat ramp and continue through the streets. A lot of fun; really!
