5 HOURS????

This is my version of the 5-hour baby sweater. I followed the pattern for the yolk but altered the bottom using only one row of decorative stitching which seems to be lost in the fluff of the yarn. It took me a lot longer than 5 hours !!!!!! The yarn is Caron Wintuk (white) and Sensations Margherita (pink) which is like a soft boucle. It was made for no one in particular so I have put it with my finished projects until some little sweetie comes along and needs a sweater!

Here are some cute snowflake buttons that I discovered in my button stash!!! Of course the picture doesn't snow the true beauty of the button! They are silver snowflakes on a white pearl background. I just love the snow (don't I Wendy?????) and these buttons were perfect!!!

And BTW, this post took me 6 try's to get it right, %*%*!^(!& BLOGGER!!!!! Is anyone else having this problem lately???????

XXXXXXXXX (STITCHES)!

What we love about summer???????? Mostly nothing except giant, pretty hibiscus plants, sleeping in and air conditioning!!!!!!!!!!! This is one of two of my plants! Are they not delicious!!!???? They bloom from August until it gets too cold which is usually late September around here!

Here is my little Sophie being her sweet (albiet bratty self)!!!! Paige had just given her a huge dollup of whip cream! Spoiled you say?????? NAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!

This is another top down raglan using the same DK yarn as the one a few posts ago! I love this pattern! It is so easy! No seaming; my favorite kind of knitting! This one is for no one in particular so I will put it away until I need it.

Don't you love these cute sailboat buttons!!! I got these at the Fabric Place . I can't seem to find a good source for cute buttons locally and I get so overwhelmed looking on line. The Fabric Place has the best ones so far.
Also on the needles are some baby booties for Penny's project! I love making booties too because they are a quick project; perfect for this hot summer weather!I started another 5-hour baby sweater in purple yarn!

FINALLY, SOME STITCHES

Here is a pair of leg warmers that I just finished for Paige a few days ago. She loves these things! And a good thing too as I had a devil of a time with the seaming. I used a Bernat pattern and for some reason, they used straights when double points or circulars would have been more appropriate! I normally would have thought about using the double points or circulars myself but it's been so hot that my brain must be fried and I didn't even think of it! Thankfully, we cooled off today and it is more comfortable but still HOT! BLCK!

FRANKLIN'S PAGING SUSIE!

It's too hot! I am melting into the fabric of the chair, my hubby comes home from work complaining he is a"french fry". "Better a fry than a cup of yogurt I quip". But really, I am so hot and tired of this heat. I can't bare another walk to the garbage can for fear that whatever brain cells I have left, will surely sizzle. Franklin says it best so please, if anyone finds Susie , could you please send her to my house first and then I'll send her on to Franklin's. Thanks peeps!
