IT'S HERE!!!!! IT'S HERE!!!!!!!

The long anticipated Knitters afghan kit is here! At last! I am alllll excited about this kit!!!!! I guess it is because it is a rather old kit that I hunted for all over the net. When I couldn't find the kit, I hunted for the yarn. The only place that even carries this yarn was Handknitting!!!!! After scouring the site, I stumbled upon the kit!!!!! Which was good b/c they didn't have enough of the same colors of yarn in skeins. I love this kit! Did I mention????? I love the pattern and colors! They are all earth tones with bits of black speckled and blue mixed in! This is actually rather ironic as I'm more of a light blue, white, yellow person! Now, as my beloved husband will remind me again and again, "it will take me 3 years to finish something like this"!!! Yes, I say, yes but does it really maaaatttter?????? Where am I going anyway????? I plan on enjoying each and every stitch! At least I think I will, I haven't studied the individual patterns yet! LOL!

THE LUCK OF THE IRISH

On St. Patty's Day, Paige missed school to attend a series of dance performances with Damhsa Irish Dance Studio. These girls work so hard and dance from sun up to about 9:00 PM! We visited schools, non-profit organizations, the local malls and Irish pubs. Why do we drag our children place to place, racing the clock to the next performance for 12 hours all in one day????? It is for the love of the dance. Plain and simple. The moms are just as bedraggled as the girls! And when the day is done, they are exhausted, their feet and calves ache, they are hungry and worn out! But you would never know it when you see them dance! They are like fairies gliding across the floor! It is a sight to behold when they take the floor with their Irish curls and costumes! I am so very proud of you Paige! You are an amazing talent and wonderful dancer. I have seen you grow from tiny ballerina, to tap dancer, to jazz dancer and now you are an awesome Step dancer!!!! Be proud of yourself! You rock!

Please make a visit over and let me know what you think! I just love making these cute little things! It helps keep my creative juices flowing AND it is a useful little gadget to boot! I use mainly glass beads and I fill in with seed beads. My favorite markers are the ones with the rhinestone capped bottom and the ornate silver capped bottoms! B.K.er's (you know who you are!!!!!!!!!!!!) will recieve a discount should you decide to purchase them!
I am trying my darndest to put a baby layette together for a baby shower on April 2nd. I have yet to find a pattern that I think I can handle in such a short amount of time!
I am patiently awaiting my order from Hand-Knitting!!!!!!!!!! Ohhh the lovely package that is sure to grace my door step any day now has got me allll in a tither!!!!!!!! You will have to wait and see what lovelies await me inside that box!

AND A SWEETIE

FOR ALL YOU DOG LOVERS::: This is Sophie all groomed and dressed up in her new party dress! Now who can resist this sweetie pie!

A JIG

And here is a picture of my little Irish girl doing her thing Saturday night for a church group. Horrible picture I know but I promised her I would post it! I will have to get a better pic of her this weekend when she performs again!

A PAIR

Here is a the second pair of boot sox for Jim. It has been difficult to find this yarn locally so I bought a bunch on e-bay. Dear son has now requested a pair for when he snow boards but I said, "I've got to get this blasted sweater for your father finished first!" So, I think he won't get his pair until next season!
