SPOOKTACULAR PUMPKINS!

Here is this years creation for Halloween! We have 2 witches from Snow White! Jim did an outstanding job again this year; we never doubted you for one minute. (Last year Jim did an Ozzy Ozbourne pumpkin that was very cool!) Thanks Jim!

BABY CLOUDS

Well here is the baby blanket that I worked up in the Red Heart Baby Clouds yarn. It is just plain old garter stitch but I looks pretty nice I think b/c the yarn is so bulky. This blanket will go to the childrens hospital; one of my favorite charities!

Would you believe we got our first flakes of snow yesterday? It was only a short little bit of tiny flakes falling to the ground but flakes none the less!! Winter is fast approaching! YAAA HOOOOO!!!!!

Top Down Sweater

Well, I finished the scarf to match this sweater. This was an ultra easy pattern as it is knit on circulars from the top down!! The pattern is from knittingplainandsimple.com. It was worked in 2 strands of Patons Canadian Worsted in Oatmeal. Of course the pattern said it was a "weekend sweater". Well that turned into about three weeks working on it every night for a couple of hours each night. My "to do" list is getting longer instead of shorter so there were a couple of side projects in between. Thank god I find time just about every night to go into my "zen" mode with my knitting. It's a good thing!

IS HALLOWEEN AN OXYMORON??

Since the dawn of time, our parents have cautioned us to NEVER talk to strangers!!! Don't ever take candy from anyone you don't know!! And yet, each year we allow our costumed clad children into the night on Halloween to beg at strangers doors for candy. I ask you....is this an oxymoron of sorts our what???? Yes I know, "But it's Hallloweeeeen"!!! they cry. "Everyyyyybody does it"! Tis true....just about all of us in my generation did it and continue to allow our own children to do it but.......does that make it right?? Or, are we just being politically correct for the sake of our kiddos??? It's something to ponder isn't it? Paige said she likes Halloween better than Christmas! HUH???????? Since when I ask???? I'll have to remember that comment when I'm bustling about and scurrying along to grab alllll those presents that she just doesn't care about huh?Jim finished this scary little scene a few weeks ago and all the neighborhood kiddies think it is just grand! What do you all think??

FINALLY POSTING THIS CUTE TOP

Well, I finally uploaded some pics from the camera and I now have a few minutes to put this in. I made this top for Paige at the end of the summer. She loves it b/c it is sooo soft (TLC COTTON). This was also my first attempt at crocheting an edging and I'm happy with the results!
